Post Insights

Post Insights lists every post from your connected accounts and opens each one to its metric breakdown, plus an AI read on why it performed the way it did. It's the per-post companion to the account-level Page Analytics view — richest for Instagram, with synced summaries for YouTube and Facebook.

Availability. Full per-post detail — new followers a post earned, saves, profile visits, and Reel watch time — is Instagram-only, because only Instagram's API exposes it (and follower/profile metrics only on feed posts and Reels respectively). YouTube and Facebook posts appear here too, but show the summary metrics captured at your last sync (YouTube: views, likes, comments, engagement; Facebook: likes, comments, shares, reach, engagement) with no per-post follower attribution. The AI "Why it performed" read works on posts from all three platforms. Accounts connected by manual entry only carry summary numbers — reconnect via OAuth from Page Analytics to get per-post data.

What it does

Post Insights pulls together the individual posts across your connected Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook accounts so you can see how each one actually did, not just your account totals. Open any post for its metric breakdown and a plain-language AI explanation of why it performed the way it did, measured against your own typical results. Instagram gives the deepest breakdown — likes, comments, saves, shares, reach, views, new followers, profile actions, and Reel watch time; YouTube and Facebook show the summary metrics from your most recent sync. It matters because it turns a pile of numbers into a clear "do more of this, less of that" signal, so your next posts build on what's already working. The list reflects your most recent sync, so it's a snapshot of recent posts rather than a live feed.

How to use it

  1. 1

    Open Post Insights

Go to /dashboard/posts (it lives in the Analyze section, next to Page Analytics). If you have no accounts connected yet, connect Instagram, YouTube, or Facebook from Page Analytics first.

  2. 2

    Filter and sort the list

Use the platform chips to focus on one network, and the Recent / Engagement / Reach buttons to surface your newest, most-engaged, or widest-reaching posts.

  3. 3

Open a post for the full breakdown

Click any post to see its metric clusters in the detail panel. Instagram posts also show new followers, profile actions, and (for Reels) watch time; YouTube and Facebook show their available summary metrics.

  4. 4

Read the AI "Why it performed"

In the detail panel, click "Explain this post" to get an AI read comparing the post to your usual results and explaining what likely drove it up or down. "Redo" regenerates it. Works for Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook posts.

  5. 5

Open it on the platform or refresh the data

Use "View on [platform]" to open the live post. To pull in newer posts, re-sync from Page Analytics (fresh Instagram insights can take up to ~48 hours to appear).

  6. 6

Turn a winner into your next plan

Promoting a post to the Idea Inbox happens on Page Analytics: open its top-post tool and use "Add to inbox" to seed your next content plan. Post Insights itself is read-only — it doesn't add posts to the inbox.

Tips

  • Sort by Engagement, then read the AI explanation on your top one or two posts — the patterns it names (format, hook, topic) are the ones worth repeating.
  • The detail panel flags whether a post landed clearly above or below your own median engagement, so you can judge posts against your baseline rather than chasing absolute numbers.
  • Instagram gives the deepest read here — if growing followers is the goal, watch the "New followers" stat (feed posts) to see which posts actually convert viewers into followers.
  • This page only reflects your last sync; if a recent post is missing or a number looks stale, re-sync from Page Analytics before drawing conclusions.
